Alcohol-Free Zone Policy
StopDrink Network has been promoting alcohol-free temple which was first launched in Nakorn Rajasrima province. Currently, all of 2,564 temples in this province are alcohol-free. In addition, we have continued our effort in promoting alcohol-free temple in other area and extending the alcohol-free zone to include schools and public parks in Bangkok.
Starting from February 14, 2008, the Alcohol Control Act was fully enforced. The law mandates the following places as alcohol-free zones: temples, religious buildings, hospitals, pharmacy stores, governmental buildings, schools, colleges, universities, gas stations, the mini-mart in gas stations, and public parks.
StopDrink Network still continues promoting this program encouraging people to follow the law and to extend the Alcohol-Free Zone to cover other area.
